The Magnificent Mrs. G.

Summer Break is finally here for my son, Eli.  We're closing fourth grade out on the happiest of notes and looking forward to a fantastic fifth grade experience with the Magnificent Mrs. G.  Our awesome teacher is looping with her students and we couldn't be more thrilled that we to keep her for another year.

Eli has put her through her paces this year (to say the least), but he's also formed a respect and a bond with Mrs. G. and she brings out the best in him.  With her guidance he's made huge strides this year and there was no way a standard apple, plant, candle or lotion set would ever be thanks enough.  Instead, it was Eli who suggest we head to the bookstore so we gifted Mrs. G. a little fun at our favorite local shop, Read Between the Lynes and the coffee house next door to it.   If you ever have the opportunity to visit The Woodstock Square (made famous by Bill Murray's Groundhog Day being filmed here), be sure to stop in the bookstore.

Anyway, onto the card.  This is a 6X6-inch square card with a block pattern of my favorite school-themed designer papers.  Eli insisted we add a shiny red apple, so this is cut from my Cricut Explore.
